Seeks the employment of a
Admin/Finance Assistant in Erbil
Duty Station   : Erbil – Iraq
Admin & Finance Assistant
Position Title      :

Duration      : Three months with possibility of extension
Type of Contract    : Special All Inclusive

Under the overall supervision of the CoM and Head of HUB  and the direct supervision of
the Resources Management Officer and
, the Ad min/Finance
Admin/Finance Assistant II
Assistant I performs a  range of standardized accounting clerical duties such as:
Background and General Functions:
A) Finance Matters
Responsible for the Petty Cash account of the HUB. After obtaining appropriate

approvals execute direct transactions, maintain records of these disbursements and
balances accounts on daily basis;
Keeps cash fund av ailable in the HUB and updates balances in excel spreadsheets;

Checks the receipts and bills received from satellite Office teams;

Checks incoming invoices and links with the supporting documentation and

prepare Mission Payment Request;
Prepares cheques and payment ord ers fo r bank transfers; ensures relevant and

timely payments to providers and partners, taking into consideration final
reporting requirements;
Checks the bank statements and links with the supporting documentation;

Ensures proper and systematic filing of all documents according to established

standards;
Verify invoices and ascertain that the equipment, supplies or services they refer to

were duly received or provided before proceeding with payment request.
Maintains a filing system for vouchers.

Bring to the attention of the supervisor any relevant financial issues.

Suggest improvements to internal controls and streamlining/efficiencies;




B) Admin Matters
Establish and manage personnel files for national staff in Erbil Hub, Iraq.

Maintain Attendance records of national staff in Erbil Hub, Iraq.

Provide Daily Assistance to supervisor in ensuring proper internal controls of

finance are in place.
Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor

and/or CoM;

Qualifications required:
Secondary education or equivalent experience in Finance,

Excellent communication, written and verbal skills in Arabic, Kurdish and  in

English.
Ability to work independently or under minimum supervision.

Excellent computer literacy.

Personal commitment, efficiency and flexibility.

Ability to work under pressure.
